Sudhir is inducted as an Honorary Member of Rotary.


Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, Chairman of the Ruparelia Foundation, has joined the Rotary Fraternity. The Ruparelia Foundation is the charitable arm of the Ruparelia Group of Companies, and they have contributed billions of shillings over the years to assist a variety of causes ranging from education to health, the arts, and conservation.

Several Rotary Clubs in Uganda have benefited from the foundation's sponsorship, and Sudhir has now formally joined the fraternity. Sudhir was admitted as an Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Kiwatule by District Governor Mike Sebalu Friday evening at the Kabira Country Club during an all-clubs' fellowship.


Sudhir donated an ambulance and Shs10 million to the Rotary Club of Nsangi in July of this year to benefit the maternity section of the hospital for which the club is gathering funds.He also contributed Shs10 million to Rotary's efforts to build a cancer unit at Nsambya Hospital.

Rotary International, founded in 1905, is a multinational organisation of individuals of good will who work together to take action and effect change across the world. Globally, Rotary causes include fostering peace, battling illness, providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.


Saving women and children, promoting education, developing local economies, and safeguarding the environment are just a few examples.
