Hamza Anwar, Kenya's reigning ARC3 Junior African Champion, will make his long-awaited Ford Fiesta R5 debut in the Boxing Day Sprint event hosted by the Federation of Motorclubs of Uganda (FMU).
The Sprint will be held on December 26th at the Busiika Motorsports Arena in the Luwero area.
The former Kenyan National Rally Champion will co-drive as well as drive an undisclosed Mitsubishi car in the race.
Hamza Anwar will display his Ford Fiesta R5, which he reportedly acquired two months ago.
Although it has not been verified, rumours claim that Hamza Anwar will compete in the 2023 ARC races with this Ford Fiesta R5. Because to the efforts of Amaanraj Rai and Rajiv Ruparelia, Hamza Anwar will participate in the sprint.
Hamza made his Ugandan debut this year at the Pearl of Africa Uganda rally 2022, where he finished dead last but was impressed by the Ugandan spectators; as a consequence, he has decided to return and delight rally enthusiasts.
The Sprint will be the last event of the 2022 NRC, with points awarded in the CRC and 2WD categories.
In the Sprint, expect intense competition from the three sons of Kenyan and Ugandan racing veterans, Hamza Anwar, Mark Lubega, and Mike Mukula Jr.
