The Ruparelia Foundation receives recognition for its commitment to the protection of Uganda's wildlife

The Ruparelia Foundation has received appreciation from the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre (UWEC) for its persistent support of wildlife conservation in the nation.

UWEC's Executive Director, Dr. James Musinguzi, made the comments at a speech marking the organization's 70th anniversary (UWEC was once known as Entebbe Zoo).

In his speech, Dr. Musinguzi explained how the Ruparelia Group's Ruparelia Foundation sponsors a lion cub named Arie, which was given that name in honour of Dr. Ruparelia Sudhir's granddaughter and daughter, Ms. Sheena Ruparelia, and thanked them for their unwavering commitment to the animal's welfare.

The institution has changed over the years thanks to alliances and support from patriotic Ugandans like the Ruparelia Foundation, he said, and milestone events let the public understand and recognise its achievements.

We must preach the gospel of conservation through variety, and I urge us to start teaching the children about this from a very early age, Dr. Musinguzi said. "This is a fantastic milestone for us as a nation," he said.

The Ruparelia Foundation, he said, has always provided food and medical care for rhinos and has been prompt in its responses to UWEC's demands. He asked other partners to join the project to revamp the wildlife centre.

We kindly request more partners to join UWEC in protecting wildlife by sponsoring animals, giving generously, and visiting the facility. Added Dr. Musinguzi.

On December 2, 2022, at Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort, a supper banquet will mark the culmination of the 70th anniversary festivities.

The business tycoon Dr. Sudhir and his wife Jyotsna Ruparelia established the Ruparelia Foundation in 2012, and its programmes are operated under the slogan "Enriching Lives Together."

The foundation has a long-term strategy for every effort it takes on, but it also aims to make a genuine impact in the present to bring about good and revolutionary change in the community.

The foundation's primary areas of interest include general welfare, disaster relief, health care, education, sports, and environmental and wildlife protection.
